Instructional Staff

Bryan Harris, PGA Member
A graduate of the Professional Golf Management program at Ferris State University, Bryan brings a wealth of experience to our staff.  Bryan oversees daily golf operations and our event calendar.  Bryan studied under former PGA Tour player Mac O'grady, developing an understanding of the M.O.R.A.D investigation of the golf swing, which is the understanding of how biomechanics in the golf swing governs the golf ball variances of distance, direction, and trajectory.

Tom Kang, PGA Member
Tom is a graduate of Michigan State University and the San Diego Golf Academy. He is entering his 9th year as part of the Golf Center Staff, Fluent in Korean and a level 2 certified Jim Hardy Plane Truth instructor, Tom is a valuable addition to the instructional staff at the Golf Center.

Alex Lorencz, PGA Member
Alex joined our instructional team in 2010.  He graduated from Trine University where he was an Academic All-American and team captain of the men's golf team.  Alex brings knowledge, enthusiasm, and competitive golf experience which are helping develop golfers of all skills levels.  Since joining our team, he has given over 3,000 lessons.  With his passion for the game, he is dedicated to the success of all of his students.

Greg Webber, PGA Member
Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, Greg served as the Director of Instruction at the Greg Webber Golf Academy at Hawk Hollow and Eagle Eye from 2004-2014.  Greg is one of the leading golf instructors in Mid-Michigan, having coached and developed many of the area's top high school and junior golfers. 

Chad Kurmel, Certified PGA Member (Golf Operations & Retail)
Chad is certified in the following areas: NASM-CPT-PES, TPI-Level 3 Golf Fitness, TPI Level 2 Golf, AimPoint Express, FlightScope , KVEST  and Wright Balance Level 3 . Chad Kurmel is committed to helping golfers improve their game through basic instruction, physical conditioning, utilizing proper equipment, a disciplined mental and emotional approach, course management and shot making skills. By having one coach to address all of these critical areas, golfers will receive valuable, specialized instruction in a customized personal golf program. Kurmel has been a PGA Professional for 19 years. He has played junior, collegiate and professional golf. Kurmel played in the PGA TOUR's 2007 Honda Classic and 2013 Puerto Rico Open , the 2007 Nationwide TOUR's Miccosukee Championship, the 2004, 2009, 2013, 2015 and 2017 Professional National Championships. He won the South Florida PGA Section Championship in 2012. He is also PGA Certified Professional in Golf Operations and Retail.

Gina Yoder, Certified PGA Member (Golf Operations)
TPI Certified in Golf 1, Junior Golf 2, and Golf Coach.  Certified Golf Coach in CGC 1 and 2, Mental Skills and World Class Junior Golf.  Gina is a member of the Proponent Group, a premier network of golf instructors.   Gina has been teaching professionally since 1994, players of all ages and skill levels. She previously served as a Teaching Professional in the Cincinnati area for 7 years.  While in Cincinnati, she was also the Head Women’s Golf Coach at Xavier University from 2001 - 2005.  At the end of her 4-year tenure, the team’s national ranking improved by 60 positions and set new team and individual school records.  Gina has a long history of growing the game with junior and women’s golf programs.   As the Associate Golf Professional at Hanover Country Club at Dartmouth College, she earned the NHPGA Junior Golf Leader Award in 2009.  Gina is the 1988 Indiana High School State Girls Golf Champion, a four-year letter winner at Michigan State, where she captained the Spartan team her senior year and was an Academic All-American.
